Au milieu des années 1920, Roman Freulich rejoint son frère Jack, portraitiste chez Universal, pour devenir à son tour un des photographes attitrés du studio. Il y restera jusqu’en 1944, date à laquelle il décroche le poste de chef du département photo de la Republic Pictures. De la fin des années 1950 au milieu des années 1960, Freulich travaillera pour différents studios, en particulier la United Artists. .

Roman Freulich joined his brother Jack, a portrait photographer at Universal, in the mid-1920s and went on to become an official photographer at the studio himself. He remained there until 1944, when he was named head of the photo department at Republic Pictures. From the late 1950s to mid-60s, Freulich worked for various other studios, United Artists in particular.
